Blue Bell Welfare Development & Social Trust is a child and women development organization working directly with communities struggling with poverty, social exclusion, and gender injustice across seven districts of Jharkhand. In these areas since 2001, bwdst has been mobilizing and campaigning to challenge the structural causes of child labour, child abuse, gender-based violence, and injustice, creating alternative structures to empower children and women to exercise their agency and demand rights. Implementing field intervention programs and policies to impact their lives and forging partners to facilitate change at the community level.
Blue Bell Welfare Development & Social Trust has come up with a new initiative “Paving Path for Educating Adolescent Girls” (PEAG) in the Ramgarh District. The project envisages creating an ecosystem where adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) make their own decisions and demand their rights. The project focuses on addressing gender discrimination and issues emerging from it by creating platforms to challenge oppressive power structures and norms, promoting education, teaching life skills, and sexual and reproductive health information.
